I decided to change my blog background, being inspired by the beautiful weather we have been having lately (minus the whole hurricane thing), and it reminded me that it was my favorite time of the year...FALL! I wasn't going to decorate my house for fall, because as most of you already know (Thanks Sara! :) we are planning on moving into a new house in October...so I figured it wasn't worth the trouble. But as soon as September hit, I couldn't take it anymore! I HAD to decorate and celebrate the Fall season. I absolutely love everything about this season...the colors, smells, food, weather, everything! So about 3 weeks ago, in a last minute act of desperation, I made a trip to Hobby Lobby and bought some new decor and took a day to decorate my house. I was so giddy and happy the whole time I was doing it too. My sister, who comes from a family that NEVER decorates for any season or holiday, thought I was out of my mind. I tried explaining to her about aesthetics and smells and how they make you feel happy and warm...she didn't get it. Jordan came home from work, looked around the house, and said: "You do know it's technically still Summer, right??" I'm a dork, I know...and according to Gary and Sara, only RICH people decorate for the seasons, lol! Call me what you want, but I am seriously loving my fall house and don't care what anyone thinks. Elise is finally warming up to the whole thing too...although I know she thinks I'm crazy for lighting my pumpkin candles in the middle of the day for no other reason than to smell them. (: I know I can't be the only one that loves this season, right??!!

Last time I checked Sara had her house already decorated for fall so I guess that makes her rich too! I love fall too, can't wait to wear sweaters and jackets-it's my favorite!
I LOVE fall. Although fall here kind of stinks (I grew up in Colorado). Anyway, decorating for fall is my favorite thing ever. And I am used to getting to do it at the beginning of September. Blake, like Jordan, reminds me that it is still summer here and not fall, so no fall decorations. Well guess what Blake? Today is the first official day of fall, so guess what I am doing tomorrow!!!
We do too decorate for Christmas--the biggest holiday of the year and we used to decorate for Halloween. Just not overkill.
