Sneeky

Sometimes I have to stop myself and enjoy these little things in my life that bring a smile to my face. Ok, so Hailey discovered a couple months back that she LOVES taking pictures. I bought her one of those $2 fake Tinkerbell cameras at Walmart, but that wasn't good enough for her. She quickly figured out that she could use Mommy's REAL camera to take pictures, so about once a month, I'll find pictures like these...usually I delete them, but it was funny to me that she decided to "capture" our bathroom. Lol. I guess I'll actually have to buy her a kids digital camera soon so my nice one doesn't get destroyed.

Christmas in Late January

I totally spaced posting Christmas until now...Oops! We had lots of fun in Houston with my family this year. Here a pictures of my kids' most beloved toys from Christmas.

Hallelujah!

After 3 months of waiting...Luke FINALLY got his 3rd tooth in today, hooray!!! He's had his bottom two for 6 months, and his top tooth kept trying to push through, but couldn't quite get there until today. He's a little slow in the tooth department, but he's walking, so that makes up for it. He'll be 1 on monday...my little baby is growing so fast! ):

Happy Birthday!

Sunday was Grammy's 51st birthday. We ate fajitas, we had cheesecake, we opened presents, we crafted a "Birthday Girl" crown and poster-size card, I almost passed out from blowing up balloons, and we watched the Cowboys lose...we love Grammy a lot and without her, I doubt that I could function and keep my sanity. She was our rock before we got married, and now she's the glitter in our glue that holds us together. (: Love You!!

Miracles

Another picture I found myself starring at today...I was thinking about that time in my life, and it was one of the hardest and painful experiences that even today is hard for me to talk about. Ben was a day old, and was in the NICU because he was showing signs of an infection...and a lot of drama occurred from that...but I remember very vividly looking at my son, as shown in the picture, not being able to hold and kiss him or take him home, and thinking "God, why me?" I know that trials come to us to make us stronger and to help us learn and grow, and it's hard to not blame yourself for things that might not go the way you want. I think about the kind of person I was back then, and how much my trials have helped me become a better person...so in a way I am thankful for them. I think Ben looks like an angel in this picture.

Memories...

I was looking through my old pictures today on my computer, and came across a lot of pictures that I had forgotten about. It made me smile and reminisce...this is one of my favorites of Hailey and Benjamin that we edited in a photo software program. We had just brought Ben home from hospital after 3 weeks of stay in the NICU, and this was Hailey's first time to see him. We laid him on the couch, and brought her out to see him. At first, she just looked at him, and then she instinctively put her head next to his (as captured in the picture) and kissed him...how sweet it is to watch these precious Spirits who are so beloved by our Heavenly Father, show such love to little ones they don't even know. How pure and innocent they are...and how blessed we are to have them with us to learn from. I'm a mushy mommy, but I just love my kids! (:

...who thinks he's funny...he really is most of the time, and is definitely never boring. Who wouldn't like this guy...huh...right??!! I think he should put this picture on his company website...like, "Hi, I'm Jordan, let me do your loan." (:

My Little Sunshine

Luke has brought more happiness to our family than I ever thought possible from a little baby. He's beautiful and perfect...and a little spoiled...but really does exemplify joy and lots of SMILES in our home. This picture really captures the pure essence of Luke...Thank Heaven for Little Boys!!

Our Little Family

It's been about 5 years....yup, as long as Jordan and I have been married...to take family pictures. There were good reasons for that though...being pregnant with Hailey, Benjamin, Luke, and Mommy being fat in between all of that. Doesn't make for good pictures. (: Our friend from church took these pictures for us...she claims to not be a professional, but she knows she is. We're really happy with our pictures, and can't wait to take some more in the Summer when it's warm outside. Thanks to Tara for capturing our happy little family!
