Hailey lost her first tooth on Monday. Can you believe it!? She's not even 5 yet! I was not prepared to be the official tooth-puller for my little girl, but I guess I didn't have a choice...Hailey came to me and asked me to pull it out (is was already half-way out) so like 30 minutes later, I FINALLY got it out. She was SO BRAVE! And let me tell you how HARD it is to pull miniature-sized teeth out of a miniature-sized mouth. Be fore-warned! It wouldn't have taken me so long if my big fingers could have grasped a hold of it long enough to yank it out. I finally got smart and got a tissue and twisted it out. I'm sure it probably hurt more doing it that way, but it worked, and Hailey was so happy to have it out. I was really surprised...she was so tough! I kept stopping in between pulling because I was so squeamish about the whole thing...Hailey didn't like that too much. I'm a newbie. (:
We put her tooth in the Tooth Fairy Pillow, that was passed down to me from my mother when I was a little girl, and put it next to her pillow before she went to bed. It's got a little story on the back of it about how the Tooth Fairy takes her tooth to a far away land where the Tooth Keepers are, and she trades it for treasure and brings it back to you. Cute! Apparently the Tooth Fairy hit the lottery with Hailey's tooth and brought her back a whole dollar in her sleep...I think Hailey's exact words were "It was so magical! My tooth was a really big treasure...one whole dollar!" She's growing up so fast...too fast for me. I'm doomed when Kindergarten starts in 2 weeks! ):
