The Puppy Song

The other night, 2 hours after kids had been put to bed, we heard Ben upstairs making a LOT of noise. I told Jordan to go up there and deal with him...he was in trouble for not sleeping...but 2 minutes later, Jordan whispered for me to come upstairs. Ben was singing, very loudly, some made up songs in falsetto that were absolutely hilarious! After a couple minutes, I decided I had to get this recorded, so we got the end of one of his songs and then got caught. It was so funny to see him so upset at us for taping him...it was so hard for me not to crack up laughing in front of him. So in the tape, he completely denies that HE was doing anything at all...after we had stopped recording, he explained to us that his Puppy was singing and being really loud. That makes sense now! By the way, his beloved Puppy is a stuffed dog that my sister got for him in an airport a year ago, that has since lost his nose, his tail twice, and is now in the process of losing an ear. It is well loved and apparently likes to sing now! (: We also didn't catch him doing his different voices on the tape either...his dog would sing about going to Walmart and to the hospital with Baby Zac, and then stop, and then Ben would say (in his normal voice) "Oh, wow...what else?" and this went on for quite a while. How funny and cute that he has a little friend that sings for him and sometimes gets him in trouble...when do you retire a stuffed animal anyway? I think he's getting to that age pretty soon. Anyway, after all of this...we told his puppy to be quiet so Ben could sleep and put him back to bed. Sure enough, 5 minutes later, the Puppy was singing again...this time, not so cute...so we told Ben to tell his Puppy to be quiet or he would go in the trash. Drastic, I know, but you'd have to know Ben to understand...needless to say, the Puppy shut up. (: Enjoy the Puppy song on my son's behalf. (You'll have to turn the volume up pretty high to hear it good enough.)

Really funny. Poor guy. I thought he was going to cry when he got caught. Major black mail material for when he gets older. How funny!
